How many protein shakes per day

A protein shake is therefore a good addition to your diet if you exercise regularly or if you get too little protein from your 'normal' diet. How many protein shakes per day differs per person. For example, a man of 90 kilos needs more calories per day and therefore more protein than a man of 75 kilos. The nutrition center advises to eat between 1.2 and a maximum of 2 grams per kilogram of body weight per day. You can adjust how many protein shakes you take accordingly.

Also, do not take too much protein because this can lead to unnecessary calories and thus promote fat storage.

When to take a protein shake?

You may have heard that you should have a protein shake within 30 minutes of your workout for optimal results. Research has shown that this period is much longer. We can, however, recommend eating a protein-rich meal or drinking a protein shake no more than 3 to 4 hours before exercise.
